In 2025, No-street Busking once again brought something truly unusual to the centre of Brno – apartment concerts staged directly in the street, where music meets everyday life. As in previous years, audiences could visit a constellation of unconventional rooms scattered across the city and experience performances up close: one person listening in a doctor’s surgery on Česká Street, another stopping by a kitchen near Jošt, yet another sitting down in a toilet on Panská. ‘

But the tenth anniversary edition called for something even more special. For the first time in the festival’s history, visitors were invited not only to listen to music, but also to spend the night in one of the festival spaces. On Freedom Square, we built a trampský srub – a traditional wooden cabin – complete with a real campfire. There was music, singing, and storytelling. And for the first time, it wasn’t only invited musicians who performed, but everyone who came along. Sausages roasted over the fire, tramping songs rang out late into the night, and for those who didn’t want to leave, sleeping space was prepared.

People brought sleeping bags, mats, tents, and blankets—but above all, a desire to be together. That was the point: to celebrate ten years of busking not formally, but collectively. In music, in the city, at night, around the fire.
