HOMO BUSKER

Just like any other festival, we were affected by the measures associated with the pandemic and the festival only took place … No, you didn’t hear this sentence from us! This year, the busking just like you know it, are used to it, and like it – 6 rooms, 3 days and more than 80 musical performances right in the city centre!

The pandemic has had an impact on all of us. In the spring of last year, many of us sewed face masks at home, helped carry people’s shopping… and we got our kitchens involved too, bringing joy to Brno’s homes for the elderly and becoming concert halls for those who were most in danger, those who were condemned to almost absolute isolation at the time. This year, a year later, the pandemic is still with us, but some things are different. Thanks to vaccinations, the situation has improved many times over in homes for the elderly. So, we decided to remodel our kitchens to help people once again. We’ve turned them into doctor’s surgeries!
NO-STREET BUSKING 2021 again offered home concerts on the street, but in addition to bathrooms, living rooms, children’s rooms and garages, you could also find a doctor’s surgery and even a hospital room in the city centre. These two rooms were symbolically dedicated to all doctors and nurses as a form of thanks for their commitment during the pandemic.
